A heat radiating back light module for a flat panel display is provided to install a back light unit in a first side and install a vertically-extended air-cooling structure in a second side, thereby radiating waste heat generated from a heat back light unit and a flat panel display. A heat radiating back light module for a flat panel display comprises at least one heat radiating plate(11) and at least one back light unit(12). In the heat radiating plate, plural vertically extended air-circulating channels(110) and plural vertically-extended fins(111) are provided in its first side. In its second side, at least one assembling space(112) is arranged. The back light unit includes at least one light source(121) for scanning light to a flat panel display(2), and is contained in the assembling space of the heat radiating panel.
