PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV fixing device which enables appropriate controlling of the temperature in accordance with an environmental temperature under a simple configuration of the device. SOLUTION: This UV fixing device comprises a UV lamp 13, a paper conveying unit 7 which cools the UV lamp 13 by an air current generated by sucking air with the help of a suction fan 22, and a temperature controlling means which controls the temperature of the UV lamp 13. In addition, the UV fixing device is equipped with a temperature measurement means 14 which measures the temperature of the UV lamp 13 and a controlling device 30 which switches the rotation speed of the suction fan 22 stepwise from the results of temperature measurement by the temperature measurement means 14, as the temperature controlling means.
