PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from contacting a stopper, which prevents the sheet from moving when the sheet is not fed, when the sheet is fed.SOLUTION: A feed device comprises: a lower guide member 97 that guides a recording paper S fed by a feed roller 75; a feeding motor 78 that reciprocally rotates; a moving member 64 that can move between a protruding position protruding from the lower guide member 97 and a retreated position retreated from the member; and a turning member 30 that moves the feed roller 75 to a contact position contacting the recording paper S and a separation position separated from the paper. By application of normal rotary driving force, the feed roller 75 is rotated to feed the recording paper S, the moving member 64 is moved from the protruding position to the retreated position and the turning member 30 moves the feed roller 75 from the separation position to the contact position. Time required until the feed roller 75 reaches the contact position after the feeding motor 78 starts normal rotation is longer than time required until the moving member 64 reaches the retreated position after the feeding motor 78 starts the normal rotation. |
