PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants-type absorbent article having a soft exterior body, excellent in deformability of a shape along an article vertical direction, and deformability in a thickness direction, allowing a wearer to easily move, and excellent in touch and feeling of wear.SOLUTION: An underpants-type absorbent article 1 includes an exterior body 2, and an absorbent body fastened to the exterior body. The exterior body 2 includes an expansion/contraction part having an outer layer sheet arranged at a far side from the skin of a wearer, an inner layer sheet arranged at a closer side of the skin of the wearer than the outer layer sheet, and a plurality of elastic members 24 arranged therebetween. In the expansion/contraction part, the outer layer sheet and the inner layer sheet are joined with each other in a junction 26 arranged so as to form a plurality of junction rows 26S along an article vertical direction X, the plurality of elastic members 24 are arranged in an article cross direction Y so as to pass through between the junctions 26 adjacent to each other in the article vertical direction X, and the junctions 26 each comprise a pair of fusion parts u and d arranged in the article vertical direction X so as to be spaced from each other at an interval m. |
