PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a work-transfer error of a transfer system which automatically supplies a small-diameter lens or the like to a processing device. SOLUTION: The work transfer system 1 performs carrying-in and taking-out of a lens material W to/from a work-delivery position P2 of a grinding device 2 for grinding the lens material. Work-transfer containers 14a, 14b are supported by a transfer-container table 13 which can turn, and the transfer-container table 13 is supported by a table-supporting arm 12 which can linearly move back and forth. The table-supporting arm 12 is supported by an arm-supporting base 11 which can turn. The table-supporting arm 12 is positioned in a first turning position 12B, and the transfer-container table 13 is positioned in a travel position 13B. When the work-transfer container 14a is positioned in a turning position for work delivery, the work-transfer container 14a is positioned in the work-delivery position P2.
