PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load to be applied to a shearing member and a pressing die, and to prevent the deterioration of the machining accuracy of the bevel even when the thickness of a workpiece has increased in manufacturing the member having the bevel. SOLUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing the member having the bevel comprises a base 2 for mounting the workpiece 1 thereon, a carrying means 3 for carrying the workpiece 1, a pressing means 4, and a shearing means 5. A recessed portion having a trapezoidal cross section is formed on the expected cutting-off portion of the workpiece 1 by means of the pressing member 6 of the pressing means 4. After that, the bevel is formed on the end face of the workpiece 1 by cutting off the lower bottom portion of the recessed portion by means of the shearing member 10 of the shearing means 5.
