PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power seat slide device which can be switched from electric operation to manual operation and can be prevented from being half-locked although having a structure allowing manual operation.SOLUTION: The power seat slide device is configured to move forward and rearward using a rack 21 attached to a lower rail 11 and a pinion 22 engaged with the rack and transmit driving force of a motor 51 to the pinion 22; and therefore can be used in an electric operation mode. While, since the device does not use a slide screw, when currents are not carried to the motor 51, the pinion is rotated to rotate an output shaft of the motor 51, allowing the device to be manually adjusted. When turning off an engine of a vehicle mounted with the power seat slide device or when rescuing an occupant when currents cannot be carried to the device due to an accident, or the like, a vehicle seat can be manually moved forward and rearward. |
