PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that forms a plurality of fine spaces and has an improved opening ratio.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention comprises: a substrate that includes a plurality of pixels; thin-film transistors that are each disposed on the substrate corresponding to each of the pixels; a pixel electrode that is disposed on the thin-film transistors; a roof layer that is arranged opposite to the pixel electrode; and a liquid crystal layer that is arranged including a liquid crystal material in a plurality of fine spaces between the pixel electrode and the roof layer. The plurality of fine spaces are each extended to cross over at least two pixels, and the width of a first light-shielding member located between the pixels adjacent to each other corresponding to one fine space is different from the width of a second light-shielding member located between the fine spaces adjacent to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
