PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is used for preparing polyamide granules having a relatively low water content, and can be simply and promptly performed.SOLUTION: The method includes: a step a) for extruding a polyamide in a molten condition; a step b) for cooling an obtained material by using a water-containing cooling liquid; a step c) for cutting the material into a granule form; a step d) for separating the material from the cooling liquid; and a step e) for cooling the granules separated from the cooling liquid until an average temperature of the granules equal to or less than 55°C is attained. The cutting step c) is performed during the step b), after the step b) and before the separation step d), or after the separation step d), the duration time when the extruded material contacts the cooling liquid is equal to or less than 10 second, and the duration time of the step e) is equal to or less than 10 minutes.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
