PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold structure of a car carrier in which a partial bulkhead (partial transverse bulkhead) about a car carrier is abolished to thereby eliminate a dead space of a ship side portion due to the inboard protrusion of the partial bulkhead (partial transverse bulkhead), and by this arrangement, the number of loading vehicles is increased and a degree of freedom of arrangement about a slope way of the self-propelling traveling of a loading vehicle is increased, and thereby the handling efficiency convenient for the self-propelling travelling of the loading vehicle is improved and the structure is sufficiently compatible with racking deformation even if the partial bulkhead is eliminated.SOLUTION: In a car carrier 1, the ship side of a vehicle deck with the top and bottom two or three layers comprising boarding decks 3a, 3b, ..., 3n where all loading vehicles run is made into a local double hull structure comprising transverse bulkheads deep in the depth, and the ship side of the vehicle deck of the top and bottom two or three layers comprising the boarding deck is made into a double hull structure comprising the transverse bulkheads of the depth shallower than the local double hull structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
