PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel composition and a method for increasing cardiac differentiation efficiency of a stem cell, or for promoting the formation of a ventricular and atrial cardiac muscle cell from a stem cell.SOLUTION: A method further includes: after bringing an undifferentiated stem cell into contact with a basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and BMP4, bringing the stem cell into contact with activin A to be differentiated so as to form a mesoderm, bringing the stem cell which is differentiated so as to form a mesoderm into contact with noggin being a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) antagonist, and bringing the stem cell into contact with a wnt-inhibitory substance to differentiate the stem cell into a cardiac muscle cell.SELECTED DRAWING: None
