Provided is an insulated electrical wire in which an insulating layer comprises a fluorine resin and flexibility is improved while maintaining the heat resistance of the fluorine resin. The insulated electrical wire is obtained by coating the circumference of a conductor with an insulating layer containing a copolymer of a monomer represented by formula (1) and a monomer represented by formula (2). The copolymerization ratio of the monomer represented by formula (2) in the copolymer is preferably 10 mass% or more. Rf is a perfluoroalkyl group containing one or more ether bonds in the structure thereof.
