PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system stabilization apparatus that combines a control command based on stability and a control command based on alternative selection and executes control of a control object apparatus, and further to provide a control method for the system stabilization apparatus.SOLUTION: The system stabilization apparatus performs a calculation of stability on the basis of information from a power system 4, outputs selection results 21a based on the stability and determines whether or not a control object apparatus is controllable by a controllability determination circuit 32. In the controllability determination circuit 32, the system stabilization apparatus alternatively selects a control object apparatus substituted for the control object apparatus when the control object apparatus selected by the selection results 21a is determined to be non-controllable. In a control determination circuit, the system stabilization apparatus inputs accident information 5a from a protection device 5 of the power system 4 and determines a type of an accident on the basis of the accident information 5a. In a selecting circuit 36, the system stabilization apparatus outputs a control signal to a control object apparatus selected by the selection results 21a or alternative selection results 23a. |
