PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a girdle having correcting function capable of sufficiently lifting the hanging part of the hip without applying compulsive forced power to a hip swelling part, and to provide a method for producing the girdle. SOLUTION: This girdle 1 comprises an elastic knitted fabric 23 of synthetic fiber such as polyurethane fiber and nylon fiber. The girdle has a hip swelling part 9 projecting 3-5 cm backward in a curved face form on a hip part 8 each of right and left back body half parts 4 of a back body 3, a shortened width part 14 gradually expanding from the hip central part 10 of the hip swelling part 9 to the lower side in a circular form, and the back body 3 formed on the reduced femoral region periphery 16 which is shortened by 3-5 cm width than a femoral region peripheral width around the femoral region of a lower hip raising part 11b by the shortened width part 14.
