PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite twisted yarn that has excellent weaving and knitting property, can be simply woven or knitted in no need of special apparatus or a high-level of technology, and can produce flexibility-rich woven or knitted fabric, include no polyurethane elastic yarn and is constituted with crimp-free filament yarn and provide flexible woven or knitted fabric using the composite twisted yarn. SOLUTION: The composite twisted yarn comprises crimp-free filament yarns and water-soluble yarn wherein the twisting number A is represented by formula: (1/√B)×50,000≥A≥(1√B)×5,000 (wherein A is the twisting number of the composite twisted yarn), B is a composite twisted yarn satisfying the total fineness (in dtex) of the filament yarn used for producing the composite twisted yarn and of the water-soluble yarns. There is also provided a flexible woven or knitted fabric by dissolving and removing the water-soluble yarns from the woven or knitted fabric formed by using the composite twisted yarn.
