PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial agent composed mainly of pit sand, and to provide a method for processing the agent. SOLUTION: (I) The antibacterial agent is obtained by baking the pit sand at a high temperature and powdering the obtained to be particulate having an optional micron unit size. (II) The method for processing comprises (a) uniformly mixing the antibacterial agent of (I) in a paste material and adding a solvent thereto to obtain a dye-like solution, (b) applying, like printing, the dye-like solution of (a) on a base fabric such as a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric, and (c) drying the base fabric obtained in (b).
