PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator enabling improvement of oil mist capturing performance.SOLUTION: A valve portion 16 of a flap 14 of an oil separator 10 is formed to have an approximately oblong shape and a portion between semi-circular portions 16A of an upper peripheral portion is a straight line portion 16B having a linear shape. A collision wall 40 of an oil separator body 12 is arranged downstream of the flap 14 in a gas flow passage 28 along the outer periphery of the valve portion 16 of the flap 14, and a portion between semi-circular outer peripheral portions 40A of an upper peripheral portion is a straight line portion 40B having a linear shape. Due to this structure, blow-by gas passing through the straight line portion 16B of the valve portion 16 of the flap 14 flows toward the straight line portion 40B of the collision wall 40 without dispersing. Thus, a decline in flow speed of the blow-by gas before the blow-by gas collides with the straight line portion 40B of the collision wall 40 can be suppressed. |
