The device has two inner carrying units distanced from each other in a longitudinal direction of a tower e.g. crane, section and fixable at the tower section. Each carrying unit is provided with a base which is composed of two parts that are detachably connected with each other for mounting the carrying unit in an enclosed arrangement in the tower section by assembling the base parts at the tower section, and for detaching the carrying unit by loosening the base parts from the tower section. The carrying unit has a retainer that is laterally distanced from a base body.
