PURPOSE: A secondary lithium battery is provided to prevent internal short without the degradation of current discharge performance even if vibration is added, and to secure the reliability about the long term use. CONSTITUTION: A lithium-ion secondary battery comprises a positive electrode with a comb-like shaped positive electrode lead piece(2), a negative electrode with a comb-like shaped negative electrode lead piece, an electrode assembly in which the positive and negative electrodes are rolled up interposing a separator therebetween, and the positive and negative electrode lead pieces are directed in the mutually opposite directions at opposite sides of the electrodes, the positive electrode lead piece being joined to an outer periphery part a ring-like shaped positive electrode collector(11), a ring-like shaped negative electrode collector disposed on the other end side of the electrode assembly at the opposite position to the positive electrode collector, the negative electrode lead piece being joined to an outer periphery part of a ring-like shaped negative electrode collector, a battery lid(13) for sealing a battery container(7) via a gasket(15), and an insulator(10) laid over at least extent from the outer surface of the positive or negative electrode collector disposed between the electrode assembly and the battery lid so as to cover the positive or negative electrode lead piece. |
