A method and apparatus for inserting a multimedia object in a text and a terminal, which relate to the fields of communications and electronics and are used to solve the problem of complexity of steps and poor user experience when a multimedia object is inserted into a text in the prior art. The method comprises: when a user edits a text, displaying candidate multimedia objects at preset positions of a touchscreen according to an object insertion instruction of the user, so that the candidate multimedia objects and the text edited by the user are displayed on a same interface (S11); selecting, according to an object selection instruction of the user, a to-be-inserted multimedia object from the candidate multimedia objects (S12); and inserting the selected multimedia object into the text edited by the user (S13). |
