Disclosed are a power monitoring system and a power monitoring device. According to the present invention, the power monitoring system comprises: at least one power meter including at least one socket, measuring the power consumption of a home appliance connected to the at least one socket, and measuring a value of a voltage or current, supplied from the socket to the home appliance respectively, through at least one voltage sensor or current sensor; a web server storing and managing the value of the voltage or current, measured in the power meter through the voltage sensor or current sensor, and information about the power consumption of each home appliance, measured in the power meter, in a database; and a terminal device providing the information about the power consumption of each home appliance to a user by receiving the information from the web server while predicting a failure rate of each home appliance by receiving and using the value of the voltage or current, measured through the at least one voltage sensor or current sensor from the web server, and then providing information about the predicted failure rate to the user. Therefore, the present invention is capable of efficiently managing home energy and saving the energy. |
