An occupation classification sensor fixing method of an airbag system for a vehicle and a fixing structure thereof are provided to attach an occupation classification sensor to a cushion accurately, and to prevent the cushion from being damaged by fixing the cushion with a hook and double-faced tape. An occupation classification sensor fixing structure is composed of plural hook members(40) arranged at regular intervals and mounted in a cushion material(20), and an occupation classification sensor(10) composed of a lower supporting member(12) bonded to a side of a double-faced adhesive tape attached to release paper. The occupation classification sensor is placed in an upper part of the cushion material, and the hook member is temporarily fixed to the lower supporting member by pressing one side of the hook member. The release paper is separated from the double-faced adhesive tape, and the other side of the double-faced adhesive tape is bonded and fixed to the cushion material.
