A height auto-adjusting device of a bus is provided to prevent a body frame from contacting with a protrusion on a road by automatically heightening step-board of the bus without any control of drivers and to promote convenience of passengers by lowering the step-board to a minimum while the passengers are getting on/off. In a bus comprising a body frame(3) placed above a vehicle shaft(4), a height of the bus is adjusted by getting away or drawing the body frame to the vehicle shaft. A height adjusting actuator(20) is installed between the body frame and the vehicle shaft to provide the body frame with an external force so that the body frame becomes away or near from the vehicle shaft. An air adjusting valve(30) is installed between an air tank(8) always storing compressed air and the height adjusting actuator to control the height of the body frame by receiving the compressed air from the air tank and then selectively supplying to the height adjusting actuator. A control unit(10) regulates operation of the air adjusting valve so as to selectively supply the height adjusting actuator with compressed air. A trouble sensor(40) is installed on front of the bus to detect troubles on the road. The trouble sensor is an input signal source of the control unit for adjusting height of the body frame. A height sensor(50) is installed at one side of the body frame to provide the control unit with information about height of the body frame.
