摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of sufficiently recovering a machining deterioration layer on the surface of a magnet by a practical and simple method. <P>SOLUTION: A magnet element assembly is immersed in an alloy melt principally containing a rare-earth element. The magnet element assembly is a rare-earth sintered magnet such as an NdFeB group rare-earth sintered magnet. The magnet element assembly is advantageously machined to have a prescribed thickness, e.g., 2 mm thick or below by machining. The melting point of the allow melt is preferably 1,000&deg;C or below.
