<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a ball jumping phenomenon and a leaching phenomenon while reducing cases wherein a ball-point pen tip gets stuck on a surface subject to writing, and to accurately and simply measure a dimension on the completion of manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: Since a leading-end flat surface 4a crossing an axis X of a tip body A1 at almost right angles is formed at a front end 1 of the tip, an outer edge 4b of the surface 4a of the front end 1 is not extremely protruded toward the surface B1 subject to writing, when writing is done in an inclined state. Since a cross-sectional angle of a ball-side inner edge 4c of the surface 4a is not made acute, the tip for holding a transfer ball 3 is not made thin, and ink ejected along with the rotation of the transfer ball 3 is prevented from being scraped by means of the inner edge 4c, while strength for holding the transfer ball 3 is sufficiently secured. Additionally, since arranged in such a manner as to be flush with each other in a view from the tip side of the ball by means of a graduated microscope in the state of sandwiching the surface 4a in between, both the outer edge 4b of a calked part 4 and the inner edge 4c of the tip can be simultaneously focused through one operation. When the transfer ball 3 is seen from a lateral direction by means of a magnification projector, the surface 4a looks like a straight line and easily serves as a standard of measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
