PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved process for the production of a chlorinated and/or fluorinated propene useful in the synthesis of HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) products.SOLUTION: A one-step process for the production of a chlorinated and/or fluorinated propene is provided that comprises a step of reacting, at a high pressure higher than an ambient pressure, at a temperature less than 450°C and in the presence of at least one catalyst/initiator, (i) chloro ethylene or chlorofluoro ethylene having formula represented by CClX=CX(in the formula, each X is independently Cl or F) and (ii) methane, chloromethane, fluoromethane, or chloro fluoromethane having formula represented by CHClF(in the formula, a and b are each 0-3) to generate at least one chlorinated and/or fluorinated propene. In the process, impurities are generated in an amount of less than 5 mol%. |
