PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium-containing glass sheet that has a high strain point and a high coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) in some thin-film photovoltaic cell applications.SOLUTION: Sodium-containing aluminosilicate and boroaluminosilicate glasses are provided. The glass contains in mass%: 50 to 72% SiO; 15 to 25% AlO; 0 to 10% BO; 10 to 25% total MO; and 0 to 25% total RO, wherein M is an alkali metal selected from Na, K, Li, Rb and Cs, wherein the glass comprises at least 9 mass% NaO, wherein R is an alkali earth metal selected from Mg, Ca, Ba and Sr, wherein the glass has a strain point of 535°C or greater, a coefficient of thermal expansion of 50×10or greater, and a liquid phase viscosity of 130,000 poise (13,000 Pa-s) or greater. |
