PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in the energy density or the input and output density (particularly, output density in a low SOC region).SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode 10, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte is disclosed. The positive electrode 10 includes a positive electrode collector 12 and a positive electrode active material layer 14 formed on the positive electrode collector. The positive electrode active material layer 14 has two regions sectioned in the plane direction of the positive electrode collector 12, i.e., a first region 14a mainly composed of a positive electrode active material of lithium iron phosphate, and a second region 14b mainly composed of a positive electrode active material of lithium transition metal composite oxide. In one suitable aspect, when the entire area on the positive electrode collector 12 where the positive electrode active material layer 14 is formed is 100%, the ratio of area of the first region 14a is 3-20%. |
