<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element that suppresses light leakage from a pixel electrode division portion and has a high aperture ratio, and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element. <P>SOLUTION: According to the method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element relating to the present invention, as the width of a pixel electrode division portion 207 can be gradually narrowed from the bottom side of an insulating layer 106c to the upper face side, the occupation proportion of the pixel electrode division portion 207 with respect to the display region can be decreased and a liquid crystal display element 600 with a high aperture ratio and high luminance can be manufactured. As the upper face of the pixel electrode division portion 207 of the liquid crystal display element 600 is narrow, light leakage from the pixel electrode division portion 207 can be significantly decreased and adverse influences caused by the light leakage can be further suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
