<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense without error and acknowledge a remotely located object as obstacle around the area in front of the vehicle concerned etc. by subjecting photographed images consisting of a plurality of continuous frames given by a photographing means to a simple and appropriate ultra-resolution processing. <P>SOLUTION: The position of the remotely located object to be acknowledged such as a preceding vehicle in the photographed images of various frames shift to cause dislocation owing to a change in the photographing attitude of the photographing means 3 of the vehicle concerned 1 in the period when the means 3 is photographing the plurality of continuous frames, and thereupon a presuming means presumes each pixel position dislocated in association with the change of the photographing attitude for the photographed images of different frames, while a higher resolution producing means makes frame synthetization of the image value of each presumed pixel position of each frame, followed by a mean ultra-resolution processing so as to form an image in which a higher resolution of the object portion to be acknowledged is established, and from this image with higher resolution, an acknowledgement processing means 5 senses without error and acknowledges the remotely located object such as a preceding vehicle which may constitute obstacle to the vehicle concerned 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
