<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device capable of materializing the optimum control of a force limiter mechanism according to a use state of a seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: When only three-point type seat belt 10 is installed, in a case that a load not less than a first predetermined value is acted, a three-point side force limiter mechanism is acted. When a two-point type seat belt 20 is installed in addition to the three-point seat belt 10, in a case that a load related to a second predetermined value lower than the first predetermined value, the three-point side force limiter mechanism is actuated and a two-point side force limiter mechanism additionally installed is cooperatively acted. The load actuating the force limiter mechanism is optimally controlled according to an installation state of the seat belt, so that safety can be further improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
