<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out more efficiently washing of a metal impurities mixed in a porous metal substrate used as a core material of electrode plate of an alkaline storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: When washing the metal impurities mixed in a porous metal substrate used for a core material of electrode plate of an alkaline storage battery, in advance of washing, a lead is welded to the surface of a large plate of the porous metal substrate, and a plurality of large plates welded with the lead are laminated and immersed in a solution prepared for washing of the metal impurities. By washing in this way, the solution enters into and spreads widely between the large plates laminated through the convex and concave formed on the surface at the time of welding of the lead, and washing of the metal impurities can be carried out more efficiently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
