Disclosed is a diesel engine assembly including a timing setting means for a spray pump. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the diesel engine assembly (100), which is mounted with a rotary distribution type spray pump, includes: a diesel engine body unit (110); the spray pump (120) mounted on a side of the diesel engine body unit (110); a first cover (130) which is mounted on a side surface of the spray pump (120) and has two or more reference through-holes (131); a spray pump gear (140) which is mounted in the spray pump (120) and has corresponding through-holes (141) formed thereon to have centers corresponding to the centers of the reference through-holes (131) while also corresponding to the locations of the reference through-holes (131) formed on the first cover (130); a driving pulley (150) which is mounted to be exposed to the outside from the diesel engine body unit (110) and has one or more corresponding marks (151) formed on a side surface; and one or more reference marks (111, 112) formed on the outer surface of the diesel engine body unit (110) in locations corresponding to the corresponding marks (151) of the driving pulley (150). The diesel engine assembly can significantly improve the efficiency of the assembly work in a diesel engine production line, check the spray period of the spray pump without disassembly of all parts of a gear case cover during a field service inspection operation to significantly improve the service efficiency of the service inspection work in the field, and reliably mount the spray pump to a side of the diesel engine body unit (110). |
