PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner having a compact deflector, while preventing main-scanning jitter.SOLUTION: An optical scanner includes: a plurality of light sources each having a plurality of light-emitting spots; a deflector which deflects light fluxes emitted from the light sources on the same deflection surface, to scan a plurality of scan surfaces in a main-scanning direction; and a first diaphragm arranged between the light sources and the deflection surface, and having openings for regulating light-flux width in the main-scanning direction of the light fluxes emitted from the light sources and a sub-scanning direction parallel to a rotation axis of the deflector. The number of openings in the first diaphragm is less than the number of light sources. |
