摘要 In the present invention, an optical element is provided with the following: a plurality of plate-shaped transparent bodies in which a light reflecting section is formed on at least one of two main surfaces that face each other, and which are disposed lined up in the normal direction of such main surfaces; and an adhesive for adhering, to each other, the main surfaces of mutually adjacent transparent bodies. The plurality of transparent bodies are disposed so that the light reflecting sections are positioned aligned on at least one side of the normal direction. The adhesive contains a plurality of spacers having different particle diameters. The particle diameter distribution of the spacers has a frequency peak (F1) in a case where the vertical axis is frequency and the horizontal axis is the particle diameters of the spacers. The maximum particle diameter (D2) of the spacers is at least the particle diameter (D1) of the spacers in the frequency peak (F1). The frequency (F2) in the maximum particle diameter (D2) is greater than the frequency of the minimum particle diameter (D3) of the spacers, and no greater than the frequency peak (F1).
