Provided is a pneumatic tire which is capable of exhibiting improved steering stability and uneven-wear resistance while avoiding degradation of uniformity. In the pneumatic tire, a pair of center main grooves and a pair of shoulder main grooves are disposed in a tread section, the tread section is divided into a center land portion, a pair of middle land portions, and a pair of shoulder land portions, and multiple lug grooves are disposed in each shoulder land portion with the pitches of the lug grooves being varied on the periphery of the tire. Profile line L1, which defines the tread surface of the center land portion, radially projects outward beyond a reference profile line L0, and profile line L2, which defines the tread surfaces of the middle land portions and the shoulder land portions, radially projects outward beyond the reference profile line L0. In addition, in the shoulder land portions, the ratio of the groove volume of each lug groove to the lug groove pitch is smaller the greater the pitch and larger the smaller the pitch. |
