A system for inserting an element into a target tissue includes an endoscope comprising a working channel extending therethrough and an end cap comprising a cavity extending therein from an open proximal end sized to receive a distal end of the endoscope therein and a closed distal end. The cavity is open to an exterior of the end cap via a window extending laterally through a side wall thereof so that a target tissue may be received within the cavity via the window. The system also comprises a needle sized to be passed through the working channel of the endoscope so that a distal end of the needle is insertable into the cavity thereby, the needle extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and comprising a lumen for housing an element to be delivered to the target tissue.

1. A system for inserting an element into a target tissue, comprising:
an endoscope comprising a working channel extending therethrough; an end cap comprising a cavity extending in the end cap from an open proximal end of the end cap, sized to receive a distal end of the endoscope, to a closed distal end of the end cap, the cavity open to an exterior of the end cap via a window extending laterally through a side wall of the end cap so that a target tissue may be received within the cavity via the window; and a needle sized to be passed through the working channel of the endoscope so that a distal end of the needle is insertable into the cavity, the needle extending longitudinally from a proximal end of the needle to the distal end of the needle, and the needle comprising a lumen for housing an element to be delivered to the target tissue.
