Process to make composite tooling form strengthened by glass fibre and/or carbon fibre and/or aramide fibres

A composite roving structure is formed from a fibre lay-up incorporating a regular array of strengthening fibres (2) orientated in a first direction, and joined to a first array of transverse fibres (3). The strengthening fibres are parallel with a regular second array of fibres (4). The first and second arrays of fibres (3, 4) are thermoplastic material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Fiber lay-up; and (2) Producing the fiber lay-up.
