PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an embroidery frame, which clamps a processing cloth by an upper frame and a lower frame, to clamp the processing cloth so as to be hardly wrinkled and to increase the holding force of holding the processing cloth. SOLUTION: In the embroidery frame, a projecting line 3b whose cross sectional shape is roughly trapezoidal is formed on the cloth clamping surface 3a of the upper surface of the lower frame 2, and in order to increase the circumference of the lower end ridge line of the outer peripheral side tapered surface part of the projecting line 3b and to increase the area of the outer peripheral side tapered surface part, a plurality of notched recessed parts 3c are formed at a prescribed interval at the outer peripheral side tapered surface part. A recessed groove 21b whose cross sectional shape is roughly trapezoidal so that it can be fitted to the projecting line 3b of the lower frame 2 is formed on the cloth clamping surface 21a of the lower surface of the upper frame 20, and a plurality of projection parts 21c which can be fitted to the plurality of notched recessed parts 3c of the lower frame 2 are formed at a prescribed interval at the outer peripheral side tapered surface part of the recessed groove 21b.
