PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a seedling transplanter in which planted seedlings are made to interfere with an upwardly moving seedling-planting body and often causes falling or hooking and planting posture of seedlings is often worsened when planting large seedlings. SOLUTION: In the seedling transplanter equipped with a seedling planting body 20 for moving seedlings to the lower direction and planting seedlings into a field by a vertical movement mechanism and upwardly moving the mechanism after planting seedlings, a seedling avoiding tool 32 for pushing and avoiding seedlings is provided so that planted seedlings does not interfere with upwardly moving seedling planting body 20. The seedling transplanter is constituted so as to push and avoid seedlings by operating the seedling avoiding tool 32 when the seedling planting body 20 is upwardly moved and an operation amount-changing means capable of changing the operation amount of the seedling-avoiding tool 32 is provided.
