PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently display desired character information on a display device.

SOLUTION: A telop display processing is executed in a terminal device 100. In this processing, it is discriminated whether a keyword preliminarily registered in the terminal device 100 is included in character strings prescribing individual telops in telop data downloaded from a news server 400 or not. As a result, only telops discriminated not to include the keyword are displayed on a screen part 210 of a display device 200.
