WEATHERSTRIP FOR OPEN CAR AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weatherstrip for an open car with a water receiving lip capable of ensuring sealing performance while preventing deformation of the water receiving lip.

SOLUTION: This weatherstrip 100 for an open car includes: a mold forming part 10 which is formed out of a mount base portion 1 mounted along a pillar 8 for supporting the front side or rear side of a door glass 6 of the vehicle with a movable or removable non-fixed type roof 7 and a hollow seal part 2 formed integrally with the mount base portion 1 and brought into elastic contact with the lifting door glass 6, in such a position as to correspond to the upper end of a pillar 8. The mold forming part 10 is formed with the water receiving lip 3 for preventing the entry of water in the vehicle with the hollow seal part 2 so as to cover the sealing line of the hollow seal part 2 and the door glass 6. The water receiving lip 3 is formed out of solid rubber and the hollow seal part 2 is formed out of sponge rubber.
