<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unwanted image from being carelessly displayed to a destination by visually displaying a status to send an image taken with a camera (image sending state) and a status that does not send the image taken with the camera (image no transmission state) to an operator. <P>SOLUTION: A television-phone apparatus includes a pocket for accommodating a camera 2 on an apparatus enclosure 1a and a hole 1d to expose a camera lens 2a, when in accommodated state. A selector switch 11 to switch a processing status of the image taken with the camera to the image sending status or the image not transmission status includes a pop-up function and the apparatus can be switched to the image transmission status, when the camera is accommodated or to the image sending status when the camera is protruding from the pocket.
