PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring sound pressure level difference between rooms to determine an average sound pressure level in a frequency band required for measurement by one measurement, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: In a sound source room A, a broad band noise generator 1 of a sound source device 4 generates noise including a plurality of frequencies f<SB>1</SB>-f<SB>6</SB>for use in measuring a sound pressure level. A sound pressure signal of which band is limited for each of the plurality of frequencies is extracted from the sound pressure signal acquired by moving microphones 5 in predetermined routes, respectively for 10-30 seconds in the sound source room A and in a sound receiving room B. The average sound pressure level L<SB>Aj</SB>(dB) of the sound pressure signal for each of the frequencies and the average sound pressure level L<SB>Bj</SB>(dB) of the sound receiving room B are operated from the extracted sound pressure signal, and the sound pressure level difference between the rooms is calculated.
