PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a measurement start position simply in a short time, in optical coherence tomography measurement. SOLUTION: When acquiring, for example, a tomographic image in a body cavity by optical coherence tomography measurement using a probe 30, the distance from the probe 30 to a measuring object is measured by using a distance measuring means 34. Then, the optical path length of measuring light L1 or reference light L2 is adjusted by an optical path length adjusting means 20 based on the distance to the measuring object measured by the distance measuring means 34.
