PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unintended input from an operation section arranged around a read window.SOLUTION: An article-of-commerce recognition apparatus recognizes an article of commerce passed over a read window from an image picked up by an imaging unit imaging the article of commerce passed over the read window. Furthermore, the article-of-commerce recognition apparatus detects an image for which an operator's operating an operation section is estimated from the picked up image. Upon detecting the image for which the operator's operating the operation section is estimated, the article-of-commerce recognition apparatus validates an input signal input from the operation section arranged around the read window. |
