A BREAKAWAY PREVENTING APPARATUS FOR A DOOR OF ELEVATOR

A breakaway preventing apparatus for an elevator door is provided to conveniently install the apparatus in a narrow space using a simple structure of the apparatus. A breakaway preventing apparatus for an elevator door includes support brackets(10,10A), and stopper members(20,20A). The support brackets are bent at outer surfaces of the elevator door and a platform door to have a certain length to prevent interference with rails(115,125). The stopper members are disposed at outer surfaces of lower parts of the doors to prevent separation of the doors due to a pressure or an impact applied to the doors. The support brackets and the stopper members are opposite to each other and readily installed in a narrow space without any interference. The stopper members are installed at a lower part of the elevator door. A fixing frame is mounted on a lower surface of the elevator.
