PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease for a universal joint having excellent preventing performances of flaking in rolling and sliding motion and heat resistance performances and to provide the universal joint using the grease. SOLUTION: The universal joint 1 is designed to transmit rotation torque by engagement of track grooves 3 and 4 provided in an outer member 1 and an inner member 2 with torque transmission members 5 and make a movement in the axial direction by rolling the torque transmission members 5 along the track grooves 3 and 4. The grease 11 for the universal joint sealed in the universal joint 1 comprises a base oil, a thickener and an additive containing at least a lithium aromatic sulfonate. Furthermore, the lithium aromatic sulfonate is contained in an amount of 0.1-15 wt.% based on the whole grease. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
