PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope requiring no focusing when probes are exchanged and thus is easier in its handling. SOLUTION: A hand grip 5 has a contact end surface in a coupling area, the contact end surface has a steady interval to an imaging system, a probe image conducting fiber bundle has a probe contact end surface planar and parallel to the hand grip contact end surface, the coupling 4 is disposed with a fastening device for longitudinally positioning the probe 2 relative to the hand grip 5, and the probe contact end surface comes into contact with the hand grip contact end surface in the fastening position of the coupling fastening device.
