PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify specific requirements for increasing the power generation efficiency of a rotary electromagnetic generator, and to provide an electromagnetic generator which is simple in structure, can be made compact in size, and has high power generation efficiency. SOLUTION: The rotary electromagnetic generator 10 comprises a power generation coil composed of a series combination of a plurality of solenoid coils (a first solenoid coil 11a to a fourth solenoid coil 11d) each of which is formed by winding a winding wire, magnet holders 5 in each of which a magnet is arranged, a ring-shaped coupled magnet 6 formed by combining a plurality of the magnet holders 5 so that the same polarities of the magnets arranged in the magnet holders 5 may face one another, and a rubber roller 12 for turning the coupled magnet 6 arranged on the inner diameter side of the power generation coil in the winding axis direction of the power generation coil.
